The Islands by Sea:
The toll free bridge from mainland Scotland to the Isle of Skye has greatly improved the road journey to Uig in the north of the Isle of Skye from where" The Hebridean Isles", the Cal-Mac roll on-roll off car ferry sails to Tarbert, Harris. A drive of 20 minutes takes you to Obbe Fishings. The MS "Loch Fortain" car ferry now connects N.Uist direct to Leverburgh.
